The first Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow (ASCHT) was organized in Xi'an, China, in 2007 with the intention of encouraging scientific and technical cooperation and exchange among Asian countries. The forum is held every two years and is widely recognized as the premier and main international forum to activate not only the scientific and technical communication but also to promote the friendship of members. The ASCHT2021 will be held at China University of Petroleum (East China) in Qingdao from 23 to 26 September 2021. This symposium is the eighth in this series of highly successful conferences started in Xi'an, China (2007), Jeju, Korea (2009), Kyoto, Japan (2011), Hong Kong, China (2013), Busan, Korea (2015), Chennai, India (2017), and Tokyo Japan (2019).
This conference aims to provide a common forum for presentation, exchange of new ideas and creation of knowledge in recent advances on various aspects of theories, analyses, and applications of computational methods among the scientists and engineers from Asia as well as other parts of the globe, who work on algorithms and applications in theoretical and engineering fluid and thermal science. The program includes invited keynote lectures by distinguished experts across the world. There will be a few plenary sessions and a large number of parallel technical sessions spread over the conference period. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, research institutions, and industry to exchange experiences, disseminate up-to-date information, and explore new opportunities in the field; in particular, it will expose young and new researchers to the state of the art of the field by means of the conferences. It is anticipated that the 8th Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow-2021 (ASCHT2021) will provide an opportunity for stimulation of the researchers and further cooperation among the investigators in the field of thermo-fluid science and engineering.
